About the Job
Looking for comedians. The moderator’s role will be to guide the conversation in a subtle way and help carry the humor as the only real actor. We’d like to cast an improv comedian who can coax desired responses from the focus group participants, who are real people not reading from a script. We’re looking for someone earnest, maybe even a bit nerdy. They should feel like a real moderator. The humor comes from them playing it straight and deflecting if anyone starts to catch on to the ruse. They will repeat back the responses of the participants like a real focus group moderator would. They would think on their feet but also be fed lines and responses real time by the director.
